I heard a lass singing that Slade song in a folky/acoustic way t'other night, on the radio; different to young Noddy's original, but very good.

Out of interest, did anyone hear Hafdis Huld on the 'Radcliffe & Maconie Show' on Wednesday evening????? Radio 2, 20:00 - 22:00)

She's Icelandic, & performed a stunning version of 'Silent Night' in Icelandic (via 'web-link' from home)

It's available here, at the '40 minute' mark, along with a couple of other tracks

Prior to hearing her on her last visit to their show (earlier in the year), I'd have safely stated that I considered the 'sexiest voice in music' to be Cerys Matthews (from Catatonia), until I heard Hafdis perform 'Action Man'

Sorry to drag this one into the daylight, with far too few weeks to that godforsaken time of commercialism.... but.... how about this track??

Hafdis Huld, from when she was on 'Radcliffe & Maconie' last December?
If nothing else, her accent is gorgeous
