Storm Dennis ………… we are postponing this year's Jarrett's Jaunt, due to the weather warnings. Hoping to find a date in early April.

This year's Jarrett's Jaunt is going to be a pre-entry race. This is to improve the accuracy of the start lists, and consequently improve the experience for the start team. Entries are open now, and will close on the Thursday 17th of March, two days before the race- though it would help tremendously if not everyone left it until the last minute. Full details on the CFR website.

A Handicap race taking in Flat Fell and Dent, there is usually a long prize list and hot drinks and a snack.
This can't be combined with what you've already added to your post.

At a risk of being the open person reading and posting on this thread for the last few years.......

Jarrett's Jaunt Handicap Race has moved from its (recently) usual month of March, back into February. Historical note - it used to be in January with Blake in February. Turns out the Blake results were useful for setting the handicaps.............
This year's race is on Saturday 3rd of February, with full details about the route, entries and previous results etc. https://c-f-r.org.uk/pages/race_jarretts_jaunt.html
Entries are now open, and rolling in. It is a pre-entry race through Sport … See more

Thanks for helping us to keep the forum going, plenty are still reading it, but regular posters are fewer now.

I do like the forum format. You can find things.
Facebook - I use (because everyone else does). But - whenever I want to refer back to something, I seem to have great problems finding it. Even if its only a couple of days old. And the order of comments bemuses me.....

I got a very tough handicap last time i did this. The final steep climb wasted me and i was pretty much last. I've had some bad injury news so not sure i'll be there.

Sorry to hear about your injury news. Was it you that was hoping to to Litton Christmas, and came up to Crag Fell instead?
How long ago did you do Jarrett's? I don't recall your name in that race - then again I can't remember what day it is at times........
