    I think a Stollyesque approach is more in keeping. Set off at unsustainable pace; die a thousand deaths, crawl to finish

    Also even if you walk up the hill to Heptonstall, make sure you start running before you get to the pub in case there's anyone outside. Then once out of sight round the corner, start walking again, even if it is downhill....

    Not forgetting flying out across the road in Hebden Bridge, stopping all traffic, before having to sit down once you get halfway up those steps.

    Unfortunately not an approach I’ll be able to demonstrate this year. The HH 2019 was full before I even knew it was open
