Thread: Haworth Hobble

    Re: Haworth Hobble 2010

[QUOTE=Tussockface;316075]It was a bit tongue in cheek putting the Greek text in there, but I thought there might be a possibility of gleaning some Poseur points...

I wondered if anyone would ask. You haven't let me down, CCR.

This Special Edition, time-limited signature is from a poem by C.P.Cafavy.
    It translates as:
"Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you are destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all."

I heard it yesterday on the Radio 4 religious programme 'Something Understood'. It's called 'Ithaka'.
The whole poem is worth reading, though perhaps not in the Babelfish translation![/QUO

I'll give it a google I am intrigued

I've copied it onto the 'Today's Poem' thread, so this one can be turned back over to Haworth Hobblers.

I have some rather nice T-shirts left over from the Hobblihike.

Drop me a pm if you would like one - very reasonable rates

Last time I spoke to Brett he was struggling with Hobble venues. Form will be at www.kcac.co.uk when its sorted. Don't know about Noonstones but no doubt that'll be in usual place soon too
