So far, Graeme78 is up for this, but just had word he is now a 'maybe'. If he eventually dips out and no-one else posts on here they are coming, I might change this to my usual 0800 start.
Just saying in case - as sometimes happens with my CTJM? runs - someone doesn't want to commit but does decide to rock up. If you want to come with us, let us know on here. Otherwise, you might get there and find you're on your own!
That is all. :closed:

If I take enough painkillers I should be fine, they got me through work today.

Just had word from Graeme he's not feeling too good & won't be coming, so unless anyone on here let's me know that they want to join me, I might go at 8 instead.

Well what a cracking day for it! :w00t: Cloud cover on top brought visibility down to 'hand in front of face', and wind absolutely battered me as I was running into it.

I had to stop in the stone shelter in order to read my map to take a bearing from the Scout Cairn. Too windy to do it at the Scout Cairn. Got packed up again, and got carried away. I took the bearing from the stone shelter and forgot to visit the Scout Cairn!!
That said, the line I took worked (off piste), it just ran parallel to what I should have been on, and brought me a bit 'upstream' of where I wanted to be.
Also thought that after the reservoir (after CP3) I could be cheeky and run right round the res and follow the footpath, but that left me lower than I needed to be, and so had to climb after the farm at Ratten Clough.
Otherwise, a nice route. I clocked it as 10.45mi / 2,071ft. Probably not too far off what it should be.
