    Christmas MTB rides?(pics)

    Hi all,

thought I'd start a post to see if we can organise any mtb rides over christmas?

    How about this:

starting at the Cheetham arms, Chapeltown, Turton, Bolton, BL7 0EW

then picking up quite a bit of the Witton Weavers Way down to the Straberry Duck - over to Belmont - back down past Belmont reservoir then back to the Cheetham for a pint.

    it's around 12-15miles.

    28th of December

    start 10:30

here are some more details on the Bog Trotter website: http://www.bogtrotters.org/rideslist.php

    Craig.

Could well be up for that. Suggest more beer stops though... Slight detour to Royal at Tockholes and maybe a snifter at The Strawbury Duck later for us Darwen lads...

I'm up in the Lakes for a while after XOTF with my trusty Orange - anybody fancy a jaunt around Winlatter or the like?

could always drop down to the bull or black dog in Belmont (not far off trail).

but hey feel free to tweak the route if you have any ideas.

Hey, I'm easy. We normally get out for a ride over the hols that involves getting summat to eat and then a few beers. However it also generally ends up being too many beers and a ride home in the pitch black with no lights whilst 'a bit tiddly' as a newt. Was interesting last year in the snow and ice!
