    3 peaks is there any thin ledges with sudden drops. just wondering im aiming to do this race but not best with heights. went up snodon pyg track, was bit scared but managed. couldnt do anything like cryb coch, but anything much worse than pyg track i be wary of it

    Gonna try get over my fear of heights by going in the mountains more, and gradually doing harder things

    Cheers furness, also signed up for a triathlon in gym on april 2nd scared of water and cant swim half a length lol

    chamber34, I'm not the best with heights and fast downhills but I found the 3P route fairly easy, the steep part of the Whernside descent was a bit tricky but apart from that nothing to worry about.

    Starting at Horton at 8.30 on Saturday morning and doing 2 peaks finishing at Hill Inn where I will be leaving my car so can give anyone a lift back to Horton if anyonee wants to join me?s

    Can't get oop norf till later unfortunately geronimo

    Planning on setting off Sat 19th at 12pm (ish) from Horton and doing Pneyghent to Ribblehead, up road to Hill Inn, then Inglebugger and back to Horton - anyone shout if they wish to come along...

    There are a few of us Rob!

    I agree though, facing the fear (gently and slowly without letting panic overtake) is the best way to overcome it. Actually, I am not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of falling, perhaps that is different and not real vertigo. When I feel safe, I can happily be at great heights and have spent enjoyable, if dizzying, times in the Andes and Himalayas.

    Good luck Chamber, I'm doing the Three Peaks too and am excited but nervous.
