as threatened, I will be back for 2012
Team "No Beer Til Buxton" duly entered with 6:38am start time
[I've even recce'd Bleaklow and Kinder already, so no excuses for not threatening 11 hours :w00t: ]

Can anyone tell me if they allow teams that consist of imaginary friends?
Entering this with three others from Macc. Looks like fun, but I hope there is plenty of climbing... for 40 miles, 7400' (as referred to above) doesn't sound like a lot... and I'm not much of a runner (hate the flat).
Don't know the route, but other team members do, so should be OK.
Team name? Don't know yet... leave it to the others maybe.
Looking forward to it.
i think you'll find it hilly enough, the climbs are either long and steady or short & steep. according to my stats less than 20% is flat (8miles). As I remember there have been a few good (winning) teams from Macc H in recent years.

Looks impressive Adam... I am not trying to sound like some heroic man of the mountains, rather, I am horrendously poor at running on the flat... plenty up and plenty down is great (albeit I am slow) but the flat and the flattish I find very unpleasant... thanks for putting the trace on.
Looking forward to it.
how's everybody's training going for this one?
I did 7 hours out on the hills yesterday, and have one last "big day" planned in 3 weeks, then I should be ready... :w00t:

I'm out (not that I was ever 'in').
I did my first ultra last month, and now my knees are broken.
I am therefore changing focus away from endurance stuff...
As part my BG training, going more or less on track. Spent a day in the Lakes to recce Leg 2 (again) but the weather was utter pants - visibility ~ 30 yards in places. Done some hill reps today (4 x 500') and tripped on a tree root at full tilt descending for the final time and landed heavily.
Smarted a bit, but everything still attached and working. Doing the 4 Inns with some pretty quick company, so I'll stop 'em peaking too early . In fact, probably stop them peaking at all!
I need to get to the Lakes more.
What are you upto then Daz?
