the winning time (and the margin between first and second) is impressive given that he would had have to have cut steps etc. through the snow.

    Count me in for one.

Always a good tester early on.
    One step beyond.

Yes, good tester, and lots of fast running. Doesn't look like we'll be cutting steps in the snow this year. Swimming between the tops maybe? And an energy sapping run in through what I imagine will be described as "heavy going".
Usually gets a good number turning out, with a wide range of talent.
Once won a piece of steak at this race.

    Have warmed up.
Many thanks for today's race. Marshall's and organisers efforts much appreciated.

Good to see so many turn out, apparently it was a record field.

I was sorry to show poor form by not waiting for the prize giving, not sure I have ever been so cold after a race, had to get changed quickly , get in car quickly and get home to the shower. Hate not showing appreciation by beggering off before prize giving

HUGE thank you to everyone who helped with the race today. Must've been a miserable job for the marshals.

Had to sit down on the 3rd top to pull my trousers on. Never been in such painful running conditions before.
    My legs are still stinging!

    Again, thank you.

I too found myself having to shoot off and warm up. Luckily the shivering has stopped and I'm hoping to regain feeling to my fingers any minute now...

Big thanks to the organisers and to the marshals for sitting out some wild conditions.

Me too. Dashed off to warm up. A big thanks to the organisers and especially the marshals today. Challenging conditions for a while (although unlike my softer skinned son I toughed it out in my shorts).
