    Hi Steve,

Looking like a good turnout of toddies, of 10 i ran with last night 7 are running and rumours abound some of the top lads will be out sunday, reckon there should be getting on for 20 of us toddies. How many Deck Chairs are you expecting ?

There'll be more deck chairs than a bank holiday on Blackpool pier!! Well at least 20
Expecting some good times from Ben Mounsey, Gavin Mulholland, Simon Bourne, Jason Stevens etc think Shaun Godsman is doing Fiensdale
CRATE OF SPRINGHEAD BREWERY ALE TO THE FIRST TEAM!
This has the feel of real local derby
    Calder or Tod????
or will another club come along and steal the honours?

The recce this weekend is Saturday pm flagging party - meet at White Lion 14.30 to be split into 3 groups each doing about 5 miles of route - plus a couple of miles to get on and off (then back for a pint)

I hear a rumour CLEM may have enough runners to have a go at the team prize?

One of my fellow Club-members will be at this, but I'm working (bit of a bugger that!!)

I think he'll be the solitary 'Ackworth Road Runners' entrant?

Hi Richard - good to see you in the FRA world too- I'll look out for him! Feel free to give the race a final plug to your Ackworth buddies who may still have space in their diary
Does Ackworth have a good bunch of fell runners?

I wasn't able to do any of the recces due to doing other events on those days but still planning to do the race on Sunday. So appologies if this has already been mentioned and for bringing up the F word but footwearwise, are trail or fell shoes going to be the order of the day?

Suspect many will opt for trail shoe - but I think its worth wearing fell shoes as there are 5 long and potentially muddy/loose descents - i would nt feel happy running them at speed without studs. That said it depends how the moors are drying out. There is virtually no road, and even the couple of jeep track sections have dirt/mud to take studs. MY ADVICE - STUDS

    Hello

Sorry, there's not many who take to the hills.

    To my knowledge, there's only;
    - Craig (on your 'start-sheet' under his 1st name of David) Tipton
    - Rachel (& hubby Ian) Cooke
    - Karen (& hubby Aiden) Ball

A few other members have run the 'Trunces', but more may have to, as they're part of our 'Grand Prix' series this year

On another front, quite a few have run the 'PECO XC' series (personally I could only make the Pontefract round) , & it appear that 2 of our girls took 1st/2nd overall
