    From what I can tell, the kettlebells aren't aimed at body building (although they could probably be used that way), they're more about fairly dynamic, compound exercise designed to strengthen the core. Hamstrings feature fairly prominently in the exercise, also shoulders, back, obliques and so on. Lots of hip thrusting and squatting involved..!

    First gym visit for months tonight, since my wrist injection that didn't work. It's funny how weak you suddenly get when you back off it all, i was sawing some steel wire armoured cable up a few weeks ago and had to stop half way through- what a gaylord! Chest, bi's and tri's i think; can't do any proprio due to screwing my ankle on the chevin race last week.
    Can't climb for toffee...

    The rugby League are again organising their rowing challenge. Do a marathon on the rowing machine either on your own or as a team.

    Wonder if I can manage it ?

    A friend of mine is the Ladies world record holder for Female Vet/ o 70 and she did it in under 4hrs so I really ought to have a go :w00t:

    Well I got back in this teatime (been closed due to sickness)

    Rower 5k 21.57
    Bike 15mins @ 120rpm
    Sit ups 7 x 30

    Rower 2.5k at 30 sec intervals
    Sit ups 5 x 30
    Bike 30mins @112rpm

    Home session, dads an ex competing body builder so he sorted me out some weights and a workout to follow. Pretty killer but fun at the same time. Going to be on the weights monday, wednesday and friday then cardio tuesday, thursday and saturday split between running and cycling. Then sunday is rest day which will include a nice easy family stroll.

    I had 10 minutes abs, 20 minutes jogging and in the evening I'll have the same thing
