    GR11 - Trans Pyrenees

Just in case anyone is thinking of attempting the trans Pyrenees GR11, I've written up an account of my 23 day traverse of the 825 km route, that may be of some interest:

Hi Chris, v interesting, are you the same chap that has done a lot on the GR20? If so how would you say they compare (obvs one is much longer...), in terms of terrain etc?

    Re: GR11 - Trans Pyrenees

Hi - Sorry, I only just saw this response. Yes, I've done the GR20 several times.
In terms of terrain and quality, I'd say that the GR20 is of far higher quality, and generally rougher and tougher than the GR11 on a stage by stage basis. There are a few sections on the GR11 along fairly boring forest tracks and tarmac roads, etc. that aren't the most inspiring. But as an overall achievement, the GR11 is a different order of magnitude to the GR20.
