Anyone else havin a go?Alton Tower Feb. 19th this year........Im looking to build on me top 701st place at Leeds last year.

Yes - I'm not quite as optimistic, but Alton Towers was my only top 1000 finish in the National - but I was faster then.

I remember Danbert came in just behind me that day, but his running action was far smoother, technically a much more gifted athlete and I had the rub of the green - he probably deserved to beat me

I'll be attempting to wheeze my way around the Alton Towers course like a 20 stone toothless smoker.

You have to be pre-entered by your club about 4 weeks ago. Distance is 12km and it's a fantastic event.

Surely Denbigh will have entered teams in the Welsh National Cross Country Championships which are at Northop (near Mold) next weekend Chamber34!!!

forgot about that, not doing it im at college!! alton towers sounded better than mold tho. Missed most of the x countrys this year, did corwen that was fun

Should be several car loads there from the mighty 'Dale on Saturday.

My target is top 1000 but doubt I will make it (the standard is a bit higher than my usual Saturday Parkrun).

As the senior men go last, I expect parts of the course will be squelchy by the time we get on them, but it isn't so bad - it's no Sherdley Park!
