Think I might experiment with that as I'd rather use bottles.

Has anyone struggled to use a bladder in theirs as well? I assumed the bladder should be flat against your back, so upright in the bag, but the only way I get it to be like this is by improvising with strings etc and holding it up (I use a Platypus).

Would be interested to hear if I was missing something obvious.

The bladder goes in the msc. It can be clipped inside or outside on the front.

Probably best to try before you buy.
Agree - nay bother here either. And cheap tip: Powerade bottles fit perfectly!

Yeah, there should be fastenings inside for your bladder.

    I love my OMM!

Thanks for that. I've put it behind the msc (the sort of webbing) inside the bag, but even at its tightest it just collapses or falls out of the side of it and lays at the bottom. Will maybe have to take it to a shop to see where I'm going wrong.

Apart from that I also really like it.

    Hi Southernsoftie
i noticed when trying one the other day the pockets will not take your bog standard drinks bottle. So it will take powerade or lucozade bottles?
I looked on the web at Solamon rucsacks anyone tried the XA 20?

Yup, almost as if they were made for it!

OMM adventure light is now ordered from Pete Bland and will hopefully get a run out this weekend. Lucozade bottles are ready and waiting in my kitchen :-)

You'll love it. Oh, one other thing I noticed with mine was that after a while, all the stuff inside collected in a heap at the bottom of the bag, and felt like a big lump against my back. If that happens, lay the bag flat on the ground and redistribute the contents, then pull that MSC bit nice and tight to act as a compression thing. That should go a long way to keeping it packed properly and stopping stuff inside dropping down.

I think a bottle comes out of the side pocket really easily.
    gatting it back is tricky,
    but
    there is a way

I keep the waist belt clipped, un-sling one arm.
bring the bag half round on the slung shoulder.
then you can see the pocket and slide the bottle straight in using the hand of the un-slung arm.

nice and quick, no fumbling or faffing.

I put my platypus in the pocket where the wee foam pad sits.

I get to the bottles by simply loosening off the shoulder straps so the bag drops slightly; bottle out, quick slurp, bottle back, and then tighten back to original position. Easy.
