That sums up my race too. 1 jel simply wasn't enough. Felt like I was running through a bog at the end, and that was the road section.
Thanks to the organisers and marshals. It was great.

15.45 miles; 5,019 ft of up/down by my Garmin - and it felt like it. Perfect temperature and visibility, a nice cool breeze on most of the tops. Great cakes at the finish. I understand Carl Bell broke the record by a few minutes. Thanks to the RO and marshals.

Can I apologise for not supporting the bar today. Forvth cries time ever in my life it would appear that beer was not an option that cried out to me.
