Lovely day out in Washburn and Wharfe Valley with some lovely folk. Of the group of 5 I ran round with we had a range of footwear from big studs to Hoka's and all slipped and had issues. I love the 'what shoes should have worn' debates.
All praise to the LDWA for this, and the food at Rocking Hall and Beamsley Beacon was superb. Good to meet KN's partner - ran with him most of the way, but never asked his name.

Hi.Matt partners name is Bob. I ran in Hoka speedgoat says I wanted the cushioning for the descent to Bolton Abbey farm. After Beamsey beCon I started to regret this and took two falls in the slippy mud where the path was narrow. No harm done but it made me a bit cautious. Ashamed to say I gave in a bit crossing back over the dam and walked a couple of bits from there to finish, should have manned up and told myself not far to go now

Yes, wonder if 2010 was a special anniversary year as the other badges have no date

Think I deserve points for consistency. Three runs, with two year gaps and each time 3 hrs 53
Also deserve a kick up the bum for not pushing myself harder in the last 2 miles when I could have cut a minute or so off this year if I had manned up

It's a long dead thread, but deserves reserection. I've just entered this for the massive sum of £8, 25 miles, cakes enroute and a feed at the end! God bless the LDWA.
    Sunday 27th March.

Your emotion has nearly got me blubbering MP!

I'm doing Ras Yr Aran the day before so can't help with the food devouring. However I do hope to do the LDWA Six Dales Circuit in November. Another great feed at the end!
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

Good luck with the Aran Llani. Done a lot of walking in the area, but never the race - heard it is a good one. Look forward to hearing how you get on.
