    Attempts 17th/18th/19th June

I was wondering how many attempts were in the pipeline for the weekend of the 17th/18th and 19th of June. I'm planning an attempt this summer and due to my work shift pattern this is currently the most likely candidate.

One thing I have noticed though is that there are already a number of other attempts scheduled for this weekend, no doubt to make best use of daylight and moon cycle etc.

In order to prevent me gatecrashing another start time and causing congestion and parking headaches at the road crossings what time are the other attempts due to go?

    Many Thanks

Wow. You can't get lost then! It'll be like the 'London marathon' start at Cloud 9 the other day. One good navigator up front and follow the crocodile!

I've sent my form off to register a CW attempt starting at around 7pm on an anything under 24 hour schedule. I've got the road support organised - I've got offers of running support, I just hope I can get enough (hint hint).

Askern, just go ANTI-CLOCKWISE and avoid the crowds!
You do have to be prepared to high-five all the clockwise rounds you meet along the way.

If you go anti-clockwise when most of the others are going the other way round, you risk a head on collision!

As one of the 10% who went ACW last year I can definitely recommend it. An 0400 start did not feel too early and after a long day of beautiful sunshine it got dark on top of Blencathra. I met my first CW runner on Scoat Fell and my last on Skiddaw summit (my last peak and his first!). Also no worries about how to get from Scafell to Scafell Pike as descending Broad Stand was never an option (via Foxes Tarn 35 mins including a little sit down picnic at Mickledore). I have loads of schedules/training splits for ACW if you need them.

I had already considered it but with so many going clockwise it was just convention I was following.

I would be very grateful for any info you could let me have. Thanks.
