I'm planning to have a shot at it that weekend and will be looking to set off around 11pm on the Friday night, clockwise.
Getting my team together now, just need a few more pacers.

When I did it I started at 2pm. This meant that there was nobody else at Moothall, but also apart from ascending Skidda in the dark (easy) we traversed to gt Calva in early daylight it wasnt dark again until I hit the track into Newlands at about 10:45 that night. basically start then and you can do the whole round in daylight even on a 23 hr schedule.Originally Posted by fellgazelle

Seems to make a lot of sense as you're doing the first (relatively easy!) bit in the dark, and you've got the double incentives of getting home before the next night starts and before the pubs close
It does and I'm trying desperately to think why I should keep my 7pm start arrangemnts, now, apart from rearranging all my supports and road support etc etc etc .......
I did 7pm CW 23 July (so a bit less day light than you) - those midnight - 2am start times though they make sense on paper for me were just to weird in terms of body clock - trying to get any sleep before hand would have been horrid - so just more tired once starting..... it s all personal though
So it seems most of the attempts are staring on the friday evening (17th) are there any on the 18th?
