I'm up in the Lakes for the Garburn Trail race next weekend and was wondering about paying a visit.
Has anyone been? Is New Balance gear much cheaper in there?

Trainers are cheap, I've got boxes of NB trainers in my wardrobe, the other running kit not quite as good value.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.
Prices are second to none, it just if they have what you want in your size Danbert.
PS They will post the ones you want out to you at the right price if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks.
Have a good run Danbert, Mrs Stagger did it last year and say it was brill.
The prices are the cheapest you will get Danbert, I have ordered shoes from them over the 'phone several times and they have been perfect (you have to pay postage for 'phone orders). Maybe worth giving the Shap shop a ring first if there is a specific pair you want and they can get your size in from one of the other shops if need be ready for your visit.

Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.
You may get cheaper at the factory shop in flimby when they have a sale, but those are seconds. I've had a few pairs, tho not recently, and you wouldn't be able to tell they were seconds.
Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate it.
Stagger i've got a new race tactic these days, i try to imagine that i'm Colin Smith in the film 'The Loneliness of The Long Distance Runner.'
I visualise running through the Kentmere Vally with a load of police and social reformers chasing after me.
I'll let you know if it works or not.
Gravymuncher - well done at Bowlee the other night by the way.
