    John Nixon

Heard yesterday that John Nixon suffered a brain haemorrhage a few weeks ago, spent 2.5 weeks in a coma and is currently in a high dependency unit at RPH Preston. He is not at all well.

Those who know John will know that he is the definitive Mountain Man; an excellent long distance racer at his peak, brilliant on the climbs. He was a total inspiration to me in my formative fell running years.

Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts as he battles to recover.

    Cheers

A Mountain Man indeed and a nice fellow. I hope he recovers.

Wishing him well in his recovery, a hospital is no place for a Mountain Man.

Hi guys,I think this a former school teacher of mine. Is John slim with dark brown sometimes long hair and a beard? Last I heard he was in Chorley. I'd love to contact him again
