Just wanted to add my thanks to Ray, the other organisers and volunteers for another good day.
Kids picked up prizes, but more importantly had great fun.
The Scouts and their bacon butties always help chase the cold away for those of us that just go along to cheer.
I'm intending to turn out for this one on Sunday for my "come-back" race - look out for me most likely in close attendance with the sweeper!

96th/108 so well ahead of the sweeper - result!
will be 25th Anniversary race next year apparently, so might go back to improve my time...

A trail race rather than a fell race but nevertheless a stiff little test of just over 4 miles and 600 feet.
The smell of bacon from the Scouts stall prior to the start was encouragement enough to make sure that the horses were not spared.
Of the 106 starters I got round in 22nd place and 1st MV60 in 30.51. The bacon sandwich, smothered in original HP Sauce, was delicious
Visibility good except in Hill Fog
