Congratulations to all the successful ones. A few of us from deepest darkest South Wales are out supporting Dan Booth this coming weekend doing a clockwise circuit starting 1.00am at the Moot Hall. Give us a cheer or a raspberry if you see us out. Any fatuous comment will do!

Best of luck to Desparate Dan, you, John, Roy and the rest of the team - would like to be there supporting but have to stay home sometimes!!

And if you really want a fatuous comment, how about " American Football is a mistake. It combines the two worst elements of American life. Violence and committee meetings"

Last i heard David White was around an hour ahead of schedule

I'm also making a BG attempt this coming weekend (2nd) - midnight start, heading clockwise.

Good Team in place, weather forecast not great - but I do like a challenge

Saw you at Dunmail with a large support crew. Seemed to be going well. Dan came through 40mins later, ahead of a 22hour schedule. I supported the first leg. Couldn't believe how well developed the trod has become between skiddaw and great calva. Had to laugh when Dan diasappeared into a big hole of peat close to the river on the descent off great calva. Waist high heather!

David ran well and finished in 22 hrs 11 mins. Weather was near perfect all day.

My thoughts too John. This is the first time I've paced a BG and I reckon David's was good one to start with. He had the determination and strength to just keep going and finished looking remarkably fresh.
