    Re: BG Success 26th May

Unfortunately Dan started throwing up and was having stomach cramps and had to drop out before Scafell. He's talking about another go in July. Shame really as he was looking pretty good at Dunmail. I'm next supporting Roy Ruddle for a go at the Paddy Buckley later in the month. Always the bridesmaid never the bride...........

Someone saw us off from the Moot Hall at 1.00am and i was later told was a forumite. Please own up so i can say thanks.
I like to go to work on a Monday morning more tired than I come home on a Friday evening!

Some of you might like to read Paul Hainsworth's report of his Bob Graham Round success. It's here on the new Northumberland Fell Runners site.

Well done to all, i read Paul's report last night and re-read some of the other NFR reports, all good stuff, on their busy website.

Two other successful rounds started clockwise on Friday at 7.00pm in fantastic weather. It was a pleasure to accompany two friends i'd never met before, on their 1st leg, the crack was good all the way round, the setting sun over Great Calva stunning and the sprint down Halls Fell to avoid getting the torches out was great fun.

John got round in 21hrs.51. & Simon in 23hrs.33.

Well done to both, and to their support team.

Can Dan let us' know date of July attempt

I'm sure you will look lovely as a bridesmaid

And bad luck Dan, why do things once when you can do it twice(a la PB!!) I'm sure he will be fine next time.

    Re: BG Success 26th May

    Hi All,

I was sat close to Rosset Pike having my dinner at about 2ish on saturday afternoon (9th June). I think a Bob Graham attempt may have passed this point bagged rosset Pike and then continued up to Bowfell.

I have always been curious about the route from rosset pike upto bowfell and have gone the wrong way once before.

I watched this guy go up the route and then followed him up

The chap had 3 helpers and two dogs, it was a very humid day for it.

Does anyone know who this would have been and did he complete?

This is the first time I have seen an attempt in action and was really inspired, at this point he must have been about 12 hours into it.

    Cheers
    Jamie
