    Great Langdale Marathon 2007

I've entered for this race and would love to hear comments about the race from anyone who has previously participated in the event.

I'm curious to know how much longer it takes to finish than a flat marathon given all the hills on the course.

Ive ran the half in 1hr 22 when flatter halfs were generally taking me about 1hr 15 to complete.

    when is it?

I've ran 1.34, when I was in 1.28 falt shape, so 6 - 7 minutes slower by the look of things.

Save yourself for the last hill tho, it's bigger than you'd like!

Thanks for all the replies on this one. a PB is the last thing on my mind for this one. Just completing this (my first marathon) will be foremost on my mind.

I'll be there for the third year running. Sitting in a chair at the end doing the results for ukresults. It is a very enjoyable day!

Actually 2 years ago the air ambulance landed in the field next to the finish for someone, it was much more of a spectacular way to burn out than a mere stretcher! Much respect to those who do the full marathon I have to say.
