I was more worried about getting stuck behind you on the way up!

    Hi Jim
Can you put this on the Forum? For some reason I cannot get on to it

Yes the route down has changed slightly this year due to the fact that no trains will be running to the summit.

It is reverting to the original course of many years ago.

You will be directed onto the railway track and stay on it for a bout 400mtrs before returning onto the main path at Bwlch Glas

It will be marshalled and partly taped. It will cut out the congestion on the narrow path from Bwlch Glas to the summit.

This route change only applies because trains are not going to the summit

    Regards
    Geoff
Just wanted to post this again as it's already been shunted back a page or two by the very interesting discussion on dress code!

Swoop are you still planning a recce tomorrow? If so it will take a bit of doing twice in 2 days? Anyone else been up Snowdon in the last couple of weeks for a recce?

This is good news. The 400mtrs that we'll be missing out is the bit I'm most worried about falling over on .
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

No. Just going to have a jog up for a mile or two and then back down.

Was up there yesterday, walked down the course with the Missus.
Nothing much to report - wet and misty as usual bit's of path being renovated, trains chugging up and down as far as Clogwyn. Not my cup of tea for a race, must be boring as hell and the descent very tough on older joints which would take a hard hammering on that surface.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

The general forecast looks good for tomorrow, but of course it can be quite different further up. The last 2 years have been warm and about as good as people could expect.

    What time does it start?

Can't find it on the website, or the email off Geoff Clegg. Must be going blind.

Was hoping I might miss it, but suppose I've got no excuse now I've asked.......
I think I'll walk this bit....
