I called in at a well-known supermarket on the way home this evening and bought some Belgium beers. I then set to thinking, when did I have my last hangover? The answer I'm part proud/part sad to say was the day after Boxing Day. I suspect that at nearly 47years old I might be finally starting to have a grown-up relationship with alcohol :closed:

Remember mine vividly. Saturday march the 5th, this year. The week before my daughter was born. Had friends visiting from London so decided it would be my last blow out before parenthood. Started on Landlord, then on to g&t as it was a nice day. Ended up in a right state and in bed for 10. Felt really rough the next day, and vowed not to do it again. Well until we have a weekend baby sitter that is

Nearly a year ago now, after the end of year drinks turned into 50 teachers in an 80s night at a cheap nightclub last july.
Not that into drinking more than 2 or 3 anymore, particularly with a baby who likes to wake early and noisily...
Due to only drinking real ale, I still don't really get hangovers but last time I had skinful (7-8 pints) was after the 3 peaks race last Saturday
New years eve, cause I was off ale all January so needed to drink up. (and I did)

3 day hangover for me, not beer induced, got raging manflu, get it out of the way now, got two big weekends coming up.
