    Tour de France

Just read on bbc news that visit Yorkshire is to put in a bid for the tour to come to Yorkshire in 2016. They will hope to stage the first 2 stages.
Hope they can pull it off! and give our continental friends some classic dales roads to ride

Really? That would be fantastic, some brilliant cycling in the Dales.

There's a feature on it in this mornings 'Yorkshire Post' too, complete with the suggested route.

Sadly it's not added to the 'YP' website yet, but keep an eye on it

Just shows how generous us Yorkshire folk are offering the use of our beautiful county.

All the local hilly roads around the Strines have been resurfaced over the last few weeks, rumour has it for the tour. Be good to have it pass by my house

Buffers cafe at Storiths is very popular with cyclists including at least two with Olympic gold medals. I assume the riders will be popping in for tea and cake during their visit to Yorkshire

I remember a Guardian article a couple of months ago that mentioned Crackpot/Cracoe/Cragg Vale? Sounds like Bradley can have a lie in prior to the Grand Depart if its close to his home
