On Thursday night at the Hill and Dale Race 5 – Moughanmore a runner took ill and very sadly, despite the best efforts of fellow competitors, passed away. All the Nimra family pass on our condolences to the runners family at this very sad time.
From Mourne Mountain Rescue:
Callout 16/05/2013; At approx 2010 this evening the team received a request for assistance for a Mountain runner. The runner who was taking part in a Mountain race took ill close to the summit of Slieve Moughamore in the Western Mournes. Despite the best efforts of fellow runners, race officials and team members who where on scene, the casualty passed away. The team is grateful to Rescue 116 from Dublin for their subsequent assistance. It is with great sadness to all involved and our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased at this time. A total of 14 members responded and stood down at 2230hrs.

we live for the mountains ,no all the risks , so sad when this happens no one to blame god bless x
