    Monadnock Mountain Race - USA

    Just done this

    http://www.gatecity.org/PackRace/

Much more difficult than I imagined. Started off on rolling terrain, mostly roads but some dirt track. Continued this way until mile 8 where it ascends again for a mile then the final mile and a bit is up a very very steep road to the summit of a "mountain" called Monadnock.

Bollixed at the end but went round in what others said was a reasonable 1:24 but to me it felt very very slow. Some of the guys who represent the USA in the World Mountain running trophy ran apparently - Dave Dalham??

Hope all is well at home
