    Bamford Carnival Race

Really enjoyed this race yesterday. Mad sprint at the start, but thourghly enjoyable. Seemed like a good turn out as well. As usual thanks to the organisers.

Dead right, Matty - that road at the start is way too fast for me. Once on the hill I thoroughly enjoyed it, though. (Apart from falling down a hole as I re-entered the finishing field - very amusing, I'm sure!!)

I was happy with my time but I did have a big advantage in that I started 7 minutes after the official start No body in my way on the road or at the stiles. Ran past the back marker on the last bit of road of the climb and slowly picked people off on the climb before throwing myself down the hill.

Just over 35 minutes I think, It made for a fast hill session.

    Hi Guys,

Quick roundup of results? At the World Orienteering Champs in Czech at the moment (I'm watching with a strained achillies, Hel is competing), so bit upset I couldn't make it. Off to Sweden Sunday for some more Orienteering where I hope to compete. back for Borrowdale.

Provisional results now up on the bamfordvillage website. I don't know how provisional these are but my recorded time is a good few seconds quicker than the time I had on my watch.
