    NEWS Ibuprofen causes A-Fib

More potential harm caused by Ibuprofen, Diclofenac etc HERE Believe me, it's not worth risking atrial fibrillation - ask Ian Dark Peak or me.
    Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

There are some rare inflammatory conditions where these drugs - NSAIDS - are a "godsend", but otherwise you are better off pretending they do not exist ....

Mike - are you saying you shouldn't take ibuprofen at all, even occasionally? unless you've got a rare condition it can help

Correct - I have never taken an NSAID and would have to be in extremis to do so - easy to say that I guess as I have never had pain that did not get better by itself or with paracetamol.

NSAIDS are analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-pyretic. Ibuprofen is one of the weakest NSAIDS, and has fewer side effects than the stronger ones, but it can still cause problems.

Anti-pyretic? That means it stops you spontaneously combusting doesn't it?

Oh that's me stuffed two ways now then , the NSAIDs have been part of my diet due to my peroneal tendonitis. What's the alternative?
