Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
Not seen it before, but I'd like one of those. Excellent bit of work by the designer.
Hmm, think I'll get one too
Sorry, but it makes me feel ill. I go to the fells to FORGET everything about the modern world, not have a reminder of it thrust in my face. I f*ckin' hate the tube at the best of times!!!

Not been on the tube in over 5 years, so I'm more interested in the design of the tube map (something I use as an example of simple effective design in my product design lessons) than the tedious reality of travelling on it!
I'm fascinated by the design of the tube map, which is pure genius. I would love to have a copy of this 'Tubular Fell' version.
Interesting if you Google old tube maps and see pre-Beck versions. Here's one from 1932:
And Beck came along in '33 with:
Legend.

I'm the same. I saw this in the paper and it made my stomach drop.
I don't mind the tube, but I wouldn't want to think of the mountans in terms of a tube map. The two things are at complete opposite ends of the spectum for me, although I can see that for some it's that which would make it interesting!
I have a Pub Stops of the Peak District tubular map and have seen similar by John Coats. I e-mailed the NT shop in Grasmere to order a Tubular Fells one but so far no reply. Does anyone on here know how else to purchase one?
