    I have a fellrunning issue

Hello all. Like the new forum.

One of my four 'must dos' this year is Snowdon. i just found out that it's on the first day of my summer holiday. I've not yet booked the car ferry so:

    1) Any tips on the delicate negotiations with the other (non-fellrunning) half?

    2) Is it feasible to do the race, then drive the 350ish miles to Dover or will I end up a cramp-riddled gibbering wreck?

    thanks

depends on how much you want to do it and whether you can do the 350 miles intime to get the ferry

Let the other non fell running other half know that Snowdonia is one of the most beautiful places in the UK and she will thoroughly enjoy it (especially if the weather is nice).
Cramp is for wimps- just do it.

I can't imagine a person in the world who wouldn't want to sit on the side of Snowdon and cheer their other half on. I've done that the last 2 July's and loved it.

I'm also morbid and love ogling at the injuries that people come down that hill with! Like Mary last year

Say you'll treat them to a slap-up nosh-up in Pete's Eats after. Irrestible

It's not until three days later that everything seizes up. Providing you make it to Dover you'll be mid-holiday when it happens and the 'other half' will have to wait on you hand and foot. Job done!

Surely part of the negotiation with the better half is that that they are also driving down to Dover after the race because you will be too knackered.

    so the plan is...

Darling, wouldn't you just love a nice afternoon helping the wounded back to their feet on the side of Snowdon

I'll get someone called Pete to cook you some food, then we'll thrash down the motorway for the ferry.

And I'll not be able to walk by the time we reach Switzerland.

    I think I'm onto a winner.
