    1000 lumen head torch

Actually picked this up as a MTB light, but it comes with a head torch strap too. I doubt it's actually 1000 lumens but it destroys my Hope Vision adventure 1 for output.

He's on facebook to with a few photos, comes highly recomended from some folks over on singletrackworld forum.

SSC P7 4LED Light 1200 Lumens Bike Light HeadLamp Torch on eBay ...

48 quid or there abouts. From China/ Hong Kong. Brilliant (no pun) on head or on bike.
Seems identical to one sold via UK magic chine for almost double the price.

God no, daft really. But i shall still enjoy turning up at club runs with it and see how those with Petzl Tikkas compare!!

Battery back is also pretty darn hefty (even compared to the Hope Vision 1) and looks best carried in a butt bag. I'd rather have a lighweight torch with less power in practice.

brightbikelights.co.uk are similar - lots of people who do night Orienteering are starting to favour them over the traditional 'sun' halogens made by Silva etc. - as bright but a bit more ergonomic, smaller battery pack and less temperamental than the suns - an essential characteristic for those who race at the highest level. Also used a lot by Adventure racers.

A bit OTT for use on the fells - quite happy with my MyoXP (which those with Tikkas would also see as decadent!)
