I bought an Ay Up Ultralight last year. 400 lumens and its been amazing. Lights up your path and then some. Its never let me down and even in mist its performed well. Same weight (ish) as a Myo XP but way more powerful. 3 hours on full power and 6 on reduced. Easy to put together, charge and use. If you have the money and you will use it I have no probs in recommending it. Alas since Feb 2011 they get shipped from Australia! so not sure how long it will take to get it.
1000 lumens!! Be careful when you are out with others or you might melt their retina!

Yes I admit the battery pack is a little on the large size but position it properly in the car park and you could run all night on the same hill with no torch at all!!!!

    Re: 1000 lumen head torch

Righty ho then, Ive been using this (claimed) 1000 lumen jobby all winter.

Verdict so far is that it's flippin brilliant, it's added so much more "fun" factor to my night runs that even if it went pop tonight it will still be worth the outlay!!!

Yes the battery pack might seem a nuisance, but I completely forget about once running. Run time on "MAX" is not the greatest but plenty for those 1 to 2 hour post work runs. A great value head torch that's almost too bright to use on full power with other people as it ruins there light. Great bit of kit that's added quality to my hill runs throughout the winter.
