Cracking Race this aft, that cow had me worried at the start the crazy heiffer! Some tough climbing but rewarded with a lovely muddy tussocky descent at the end - will definately be back for more next year!

For all of you still wondering what to do over the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend please don't forget this AS classic on Saturday 24th August.
5 miles and 1500' of climbing -(8km/457m in new money)- on this fully flagged route. A cracking descent after the bracken clad climb. All for the bargain price of £3.50.
Full details in the Fixtures calendar but if you need more info - email or ring me. Thank you for your previous support and look forward to seeing you.

Yep, count me in again this year ~ my 28th consecutive Pendleton.
There's usually some very nice cake stalls too, all made by the locals. Yum yum:thumbup:

Any chance the landlord of the Swan will be staying open a couple more hours on Saturday rather than his usual 2:30pm closing. Alternatively could we start the race a bit earlier in future ?

Just flagged the route. Very dry underfoot but that may change of the promised rain materialises overnight.
The bracken is not has high as in recent years but the tussock sections seem rougher than ever. Enjoy!!

Anyway remember 2 pm start. Lopk forward to seeing you there .lease park responsibly in the village.
    Cheers

I expect kit requirement to be on an advisory rather than a mandatory basis but this will depend on conditions nearer the start time. I would advise you to travel to the race with full kit.
