    Lightweight Running Shoes

Just in case anyone is interested, I have put together a list of the most lightweight running shoes available on the market at the moment. No surprises that the lightest shoes are the new Nike Free Ride+ 2 shoes considering that they have barely any support, sole or cushioning!

Think you need to take a good look at that list again and put in all he one's that are way lighter than the free's
Maybe start with the Hattori's at 4.40z. Even Inov8's "beginner" road shoe the 255 come in at 8.9oz, and there is 2 lighter in that range, soon to be 3. Then there's Kinavara's etc etc.

I must say I find my 190's an absolute dream.
You can't tell you have them on but the grip is there when required.

It's interesting that Nike, the company that ruined many good athletes through their over-cushioned shoes, are now jumping on the lightweight band-wagon. I won't be rushing out to buy a pair.

Any prospect of Inov-8 making something like the Baregrip that's wider and more foot shaped for those of us who don't have narrow feet?

    Re: Lightweight Running Shoes

Anyone got any first-hand knowledge of the longevity of the bare-grips? Is it a sticky rubber sole, does it wear out fast? Is the upper up to lots of heather-bashing, or will it wear out quickly? My usual grumble about inov8s is the lining inside the heel cup wearing through very quickly - any thoughts on this issue?
I like the idea of the bare-grips but don't want to part with 70 notes for a couple of weeks floating around the moors...
