    Cycle Shoes

I am having trouble trying to buy road cycle shoes. The problem being that I have size 12/13 feet.
Normal shoes size 12, running shoes (fell or road) I wear size 13.

I have been to a few stores, but they don't stock size 12/13, and they don't want to get both sizes from their suppliers for me to try.

Therefore I was hoping that someone could assist. Should I go for 12 or 13. Or does anyone know anywhere West Yorks / Lancs area that do stock my size.

    Thanks.

Try talking to Toby at Wheelbase in Stavele as I have found him more than helpful in the past

You will most likely need to try them on for fit... as in all shoes, sizing is erratic and merely an indication! I have Euro size 40 feet, but in my Sidi road shoes I need to go up 2 sizes!

I once ordered a pair of size 7 winter cycling boots on line, only to find that, although I fit a regular UK7, these seemed at least one if not two sizes too small. You may be reduced to ordering on line and return if they don't fit...

My new, Mavic, arrived today, MTB shoes are a size 7, perfect fit. My old Shimano's are a size 6, on the roomy side, and I have another old pair of MTB shoes that are a size 8, and also fit, allbeit slightly roomy...

Many thanks all. I will keep on hunting. I have been told there's a small independant supplier in Bradford called Paul Milnes Cycles, on Canal Road. Supposed to be very good. Anyone ever been?

Not been to Paul Milnes, but have heard good things about them. What you need is someone who knows about the fit of certain shoes and can advise you on what size you need in what brand and doesn't mind ordering you in two sizes and send one back...

Rob Jebb used to ride his 'cross frames, prior to the Wheelbase team supplying Cannondales!
