Im thinking i could be tempted to have a go again.
Mainly on roads but theres a section (downhill) on a slatey path and even a beach section along the lake edge. Worth it just to spend time in Grasmere which is the absolute idyll of a Lake District Village. (if a little too full of tourists)

It starts on the road at Grassmere Village (going along the southside of Grassmere) the course then leaves the road going onto a foot path climbing up and along Loughrigg Terrace (great views) then the course drops down, going around Rydal water, through woodland to the south side Grasmere again, it then heads down into Grasmere Village.

Note - When you think you've reached the finish - you haven't! You've still
got another mile as you go along a footpath and into a field to the finish!
