Montane sizing?

Has anyone got any experience of Montane sizing?

I've heard the garments are usually quite a snug fit, and many buy the size up, can anyone confirm this?

Well, I dunno. I have an Atomic DT jacket (size Medium) and I'd say it's a bit on the generous side, I could possibly have got away with a small. I'm normally a medium top and by that I mean 38"(ish) chest. Arms a bit long too, but I suppose this is a good thing. t' Missus has just bought me a Montane tech T-shirt in medium and I would say it fits perfectly.

On the larger side I'd say, their shells at least.

I have a number of Montane items, and at 6'2 and 14 stone I find L about right and Xl a bit baggy, except for my lightspeed H20 which is XL, but I wouldn't want it any smaller. Strangely my Litespeed is also Xl but is a bit baggy!

I've got a few bits of Montane clothing and would say you'd be best to try it on unfortunately as they don't seem too consistent. My Superfly jacket and two windproofs fit perfectly in small, but a small fleece I have is a bit too much on the snug side. My terra shorts fit perfectly in small, but a pair of Terra trousers supposedly in the same size are too tight!
