Trail? I'd go for the Adidas Kanadia. I'd say Swoops were more a proper fell alternative.

I'd suggest you go to a decent running shop without any preconceived ideas and see what's most comfortable and has the best fit

Got to agree with DT. You can't choose a shoe over the net. They need to be tried on.
If you find Inov-8s fit well in the shop there is a good web-site with useful information here

stopped making them haven't they so better stock up!
