Thanks mr 1470. Really encouraging to hear other peoples stories. Feels a bit better today and think I might cycle later. What sort of training are you doing now?Have you raced since?

Well I'm supposed to be running on even surfaces but I've managed a couple of fell runs. Fine on the ascents, tough when countouring, difficult if descending on uneven surface. I find it hurts afterwards and part of the next day as well but then eases up and feels better than it did before.

Definitely not up to racing yet. Missed Ennerdale , keeping fingers crossed that it might recover in time to give Wasdale a go.

So actually, thinking about it, 6-8 weeks for proper recovery might be about right!

wohooo feel a bit better. Done an hour off road v. gentle cycling today with no problem. May do same tomorrow and try a jog next week. Good when you feel on the road to recovery.

But how long did it take you guys to get fitness back afterwards?

Glad you got out for a run moo.

Well it's no good asking me about recovery...went out for 2.5 hours over the Long Mynd. Ended up walking/hobbling off Caradoc with my ankle feeling as bad as it 2-3 weeks ago

Doh!! Emergency trip to osteo required!! Pain seems to be "inside" the foot rather than the ligaments. Wondering what's going on. Some bruising still perhaps?

Thats good news Moo, good to hear you are getting back, just remember to take it easy!

Duncan is an excellent physio (even though he does hurt).

If it's any consolation Moo, I'm now in my 2nd week of running properly. Building up slowly (30 mins max sessions at the mo', mainly grass but some road) and my foot feels like it's 95% there. Compared to 2 weeks ago it's lie black 'n' white. You'll get there in the end.....
