I'm sure Walsh trainers have been discussed many times before, but I always looked at em and thought they looked a bit hardcore and minimalist . I then actually listened to users and got a pair. Must say they are superb ! Very comfortable, light and grip like shit in the wet and mud and they are even decent for a few miles on the Tarmac aswell. Very impressed indeed, and the price of em is bob on.However, in a moment of madness I got bright red ones, very Dorothy indeed !

Oh, and the factory shop is a stones throw from my house.

I saw a lad running Middlesbrough Albert Parkrun (all tarmac) in a rather battered pair a month back - rather him than me!
Think I'll give them a whirl when I next need new shoes - whilst they're good the days of Inov8 fanboydom are long past me.

The bonus with the factory shop is that they have every model in and in virtually every size. Strangley though, not always the cheapest !

I bought a pair of Pennine yellow and red Walshes for £50 (after a little haggle!). They have the old pbs in certain sizes too - people are always going on about how good they were....

Staff are really helpful and the fashion shoes look pretty nice too. The chap I spoke to said London hipsters are starting to wear PBs around Hackney!!!

Walsh PB's a tremendous fell shoe, grippy, comfortable, if the uppers are in decent nick then they can be resoled for around £20.

The rubber studs do wear down quick when used on anything other than offroad, but if they didn't then you'd have a pair of skates:w00t: or endurance rubber soled #+*$8's.
