Gotta say, thoroughly enjoyed this race. Being local and having climbed on Ramshaw, Newstones, Roaches and Hen Cloud for many years it was great to link them all into one gritstone circuit. Local knowledge definitely helped as I called back half a dozen peeps heading straight along a wall rather than veering left along across the boggy section after Ramshaw.
Congratulations have got to go to the organisers and marshals who managed to drag the October drizzle all the way back into June! Apparently it made for great viewing for spectators watching runners emerging from the mist dropping off the top of The Roaches before heading off and disappearing again up Hen Cloud.
