    C2c

Mrs Amex has on her list to complete next year the C2C, (a big birthday year) i am not that keen on it, it just does not sail my boat, if i have to endure such hardship i would much rather save the Lakes till last, any clue's how i can persuade her to walk East to West???
    Going to try again....

Walking East to West means walking towards the beautiful sunset, rather than having your back to it
(hope I have got that the right way around haha!! )

You'll see the sun set as you walk towards it; very romantic <3

    Steve,
I walked E to W in 1977. Being a Lanc, rather than a Yorkie, you have the psychological advantage of "walking home". At the end of a tough day, at least you are a day nearer to "home" ( W coast ) rather than a day further from home!! Also, as you say, you are saving the best till last; especially if, as I did, you opt for all the high level alternatives through the L.D. Having said that, the N.Y. Moors and Swaledale's N watershed ( off road, high level alternative between Reeth & Keld ) are quite awe inspiring.

    Regards, Ian.
