Good job that is in the context of a mobile phone text or the meaning could have been quite different and not so romantic!!

    Re: Ink

Think my last letter was a resignation letter 5 years ago.

However my hand writing is shocking so didn't tend to do it very often anyway.

I did send poems and verses via texts a while back but the wife found out :w00t:

I used to write loads of letters to folk, but I honestly can't remember when I last did it. Text and emails have taken over.

Maybe we should start a pen friend club and write to one another :w00t:

I like that L.F.F.! Have you read Carol Anne Duffy's poem 'Text'?

    Text

    I tend the mobile now
    like an injured bird

    We text, text, text
    our significant words.

    I re-read your first,
    your second, your third,

    look for your small xx,
    feeling absurd.

    The codes we send
    arrive with a broken chord.

I try to picture your hands,
    their image is blurred.

    Nothing my thumbs press
    will ever be heard.

The Guardian once had a text poem competition, years ago,in the days when texts had limited amounts of characters. 140? A winner wrote: 'One small vibration in my hand, One giant leap in my heart.' I thought that was great.
