MMM route in reverse

Coming to the IoM for Christmas and want to spend a day on the MMM route. We're staying in Castletown and to avoid getting up at silly o'clock to get to Ramsey by first light, thought of doing the route from Port Erin to Ramsey and then my gorgeous Manx wife will pick me up (when she'll be in Ramsey anyway).

Having done the route Ramsey to Port Erin a few times, I know the tricky section is from Injebreck to Greeba...

... but what is the best way to get over this area going North to South?

Go on... give us a clue.

Well I ended up going North to South after all and got the bulk of it done. Decided to detour around the private land beneath Colden by picking up the Millenium Way before Injebreck and following this to Crosby, turned right and picked up the route again at Greeba. It was a bloody long detour and the wind all the way was in my face, gusty and strong, but as it blew cloud through, some of the views were splendid indeed. On top of South Barrule, it went dark quite suddenly, and got VERY cold in the wind, so was picked up at the Sloc... that was enough.

A good day out with a few bruises from comedy falls and a few more miles and climbing in the legs
