    I get these sometimes. I find wearing socks in bed makes a big different - perhaps it helps them recover? Either way it seems to work - give it a go.

    I got these for two years in a row after moving to the Lakes, never having had them before. I have not had them since discovering Dexshell waterproof socks, which I now wear for a least half the year.

    Thanks for both pieces of advice. I have followed both and they have helped. I've also passed them onto someone else (a man) who was moaning about chilblains.

    I've only just got my first pair of waterproof socks after nearly twenty years of running.

    Now you need to stop doing one of them to see which is helping most
