    Yeah these are great shoes, well in my opinion. I have run in them since march. one issue i had with them was the mess wears quickly on the inside. but to combat that i got some freesole and covered the inner patch with that. adds to the strength.

    I'm a huge fan of 101s however mine both split where the upper meets the sole on the inside by the ball of the foot. I have used them more than my other fell shoes but other than that they look in very good condition. I have probably done about 200 miles in them at most. Perhaps they have been discontinued for a reason.

    The same thing happened to mine, but I ran a lot more than 200 miles in them before they split. I can still run in them, but I mainly run in my Minimus trails now , when I'm not running on the fells.

    That's why i freesoled them.

    i had a pair that did that and sent them back. took photo's and sent to NB but heard nothing back.

    Freesole is a glue for sticking shoes back together....
