    Tebay

Will be interesting tomorrow night if the cloud is as low as today. Might go straight for the pie and peas.

Just driven past and the tops were in cloud still. There's no harm in a little navigation

The pies taste better anyway having hauled yourself up Blease Fell.

    see you all there.

    Wet.
That didn't stop Rob Jebb breaking the course record though.
    HHH did very well too.

There was a massive downpour shortly before the race, but during the event it settled down, the rain eased right up and the tops cleared. It then degged it down again shortly after. About 90 entries, but rain must have put a few off.

    1. Rob Jebb - Bingley
    2. Jim Davies - Borrowdale
    3. Alistair Dunn - Helm Hill
4 Simon Barnby - Sedbergh School
    5. Danny Hope - Pudsey & B.
    6. Simon Stainer - Ambleside

I think that is about right...

    Re: Tebay

Jebbies time was quite impressive given the conditions. They weren't exactly perfect. Apparently he was bounding up the last bit of Blease Fell! Can't say I was. I really enjoyed the race, it's the fastest time I've ever done it in so I'm pleased. I was really pushed on by Simon and Jim on the run in from Blease. I didn't realise we were fighting for second place, we passed Danny in that last mile by cutting right to the farm track. I was too busy racing the young Barnby that the oldie got the better of me! Good run Jim. Thanks to all the spectators and marshalls that made it out there in those far from ideal conditions. A good night out.

A great race with some fierce climbs and an awesome descent off Blease Fell to the finish, it seemed to go on for ever. Also great pie and peas and a free pint to finish-perfect.
